Cookie Policy

Website: RentCalcPro (https://rentcalcpro.com/)

This Cookie Policy explains how RentCalcPro (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to the owners of the site.

2. How We Use Cookies

RentCalcPro is a free, no-signup rent calculator platform for tenants, landlords, and property managers in Australia. Because you don’t create an account with us, we don’t use cookies to store login credentials or personal profiles. Instead, cookies on our site are used for:

  • Keeping the website running smoothly and securely
  • Understanding how visitors use our calculators and guides so we can improve them
  • Serving and measuring advertising through our advertising partners

3. Types of Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly — for example, enabling basic navigation, page security, and access to protected areas. The site cannot function properly without these cookies.

Performance and Analytics Cookies

We use analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with RentCalcPro — which calculators and guides are most used, how long visitors stay, and which pages could be improved. This data is collected in aggregate and is not used to personally identify you.

Advertising Cookies

RentCalcPro displays advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick/DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet, and to measure the performance of those ads. These cookies may collect information such as your IP address and browsing behaviour across sites, but RentCalcPro does not have access to or control over the data collected by these third-party cookies.

You can learn more about how Google uses this data, and opt out of personalised advertising, by visiting Google’s Ads Privacy Policy page.

You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies more broadly through the Digital Advertising Alliance’s consumer choice page.

Functional Cookies

Some settings on our calculators — such as your last-used calculator mode (Basic/Pro) or unit preferences — may be remembered locally in your browser to improve your experience on return visits. These are not used to track you across other websites.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Because we run advertising through Google AdSense, third-party vendors, including Google, may place cookies on your device when you visit RentCalcPro. We do not control the content or privacy practices of these third parties. We recommend reviewing their respective privacy and cookie policies:

  • Google AdSense / DoubleClick: see Google’s Ads Privacy Policy
  • Google Privacy Policy: see Google’s Privacy Policy

5. Managing and Disabling Cookies

You have full control over cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View which cookies are stored on your device and delete them individually
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Block cookies from specific or all sites
  • Delete all cookies when you close your browser

Please note that blocking or deleting cookies may affect the functionality of RentCalcPro and prevent some features — such as the rent calculators — from working as intended.

You can find instructions for managing cookies in common browsers here:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

(Search “manage cookies” in your browser’s help/support section for step-by-step instructions.)

6. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to review this page periodically. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.

7. Contact Us
